GARLAND
Georgia Lee Garland, age 70 of Edd Ledford Rd Bakersville NC,
passed away May 3, 2008 at her home. She was a native of Little
Rock Creek Community in Mitchell County, NC, and the daughter of the
late Ed and Geneva Hobson Ledford. She was a Seamstress and was
previously employed with Hampshire Hosiery. She was a member of
Cornerstone Bible Church. Survivors include; son, Charles Ray
Garland and wife Donna of Troutman, NC, three daughters, Judy L.
Russell, of Carthage, NC, Jo Ann Garland Biddix, and husband Mark,
of Spruce Pine, NC, and Elizabeth Garland Ward, and husband Kenneth,
of Marion, NC, one brother, Pastor Eddie Dean Ledford and wife
Linda, of Bakersville, NC, three sisters, Pauline Ledford, Wilma
Ward, and Clarise Edwards, all of Bakersville, NC, twenty three
grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, six nephews, two nieces,
two great nieces, and two great nephews. She was preceded in death
by; her husband Sanford C Garland. The family will receive friends
Monday, May 5th beginning at 6:00PM at Cornerstone Bible Church.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 6th at 2:00PM in
Cornerstone Bible Church with Pastor Eddie Dean Ledford, and
Evangelists Jerry Grogan and Mike Feree officiating, burial will
follow at Fork Mountain Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
