Floy Marie Gage, age 85, of Bakersville, NC passed away December
23, 2009 at Brookside Rehab and Care in Burnsville, NC. She
was a native of Yancey County, NC, and was the daughter of the late
James and Daisy Hall Young. She had previously worked at
Armored Garments in Spruce Pine, NC. She attended Vians Valley
Presbyterian Church. Survivors include; son, Terry Pearson
and wife Joyce of Spruce Pine, NC, step-daughter, Genene Gage of
Bakersville, NC, sisters, Allie Buchanan of Spruce Pine, NC, Verna
Huskins, Geneva Boone, and Shelba Jean Grindstaff all of Bakersville,
NC, Barbara Young of Moyock, NC, and Freda Boone of Micaville, NC,
brother, Bill Young of Spruce Pine, NC, two grandchildren, Chris
Pearson and Kimberly McMahan, four great-grandchildren, Danielle,
Jonathan, and Katelynd McMahan, and Elizabeth Ahern. She was
preceded in death by; her husband, Alfred Eugene Gage, sister, Wilma
Boone, and brother, Warren Young. Funeral services will be held
Saturday, December 26, 2009 at 8:00PM in the Chapel of Henline-Hughes
Funeral Home in Bakersville, NC. Visitation will be two hours
prior to the service. Arthur Buchanan and Trace Carpenter will
be officiating the service. Interment will be Sunday, December
27, 2009 at 2:00PM at the Mine Creek Cemetery. Henline-Hughes
Funeral Home is assisting the Gage family. |
