BUCHANAN
Madyth Mary Buchanan, age 95 of Buchanan Ridge Lane, Bakersville,
NC passed away April 25, 2010 at her home. She was the daughter of
the late Will and Lydia Gribble Stamey and a native of Mitchell
County, NC. She was a charter Member of Calvary Baptist Church where
she was a Sunday School Teacher and Choir Member.
Survivors include; daughter, Jean Whitson, of Marion, NC, one
son, Billy Dean Buchanan, and wife Saundra, of Bakersville, NC,
sister in law, Mildred Gouge, of Bakersville, NC, four
grandchildren, Revonda Hodges, Connie Lichtenhahn, Donovan Whitson,
and Billy Dean Buchanan Jr, five great grandchildren, Caitlin
Lichtenhahn, James Lichtenhahn, Vallarie Whitson, Monica Buchanan,
and Christopher Lail, one great great grandchild, Preston Moody.
She was preceded in death by her husband Brack Buchanan, brothers,
Warren and Monie Stamey, and one sister Hettie Buchanan. Funeral
services will be held Wednesday, April 28, at 4:00PM in Calvary
Baptist Church with Jay Orr and Daniel Whetstine officiating. The
family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment
will follow at Cane Creek Cemetery #1.
