Jean Buchanan, age 51 of Dula Rd, Spruce Pine, NC passed away
Tuesday, August 28th, 2007. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC
and a former employee of Outboard Marine Corporation in the Spruce
Pine, NC Facility. She was a member of Berry Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include; husband , Mike Buchanan, of the home, one
daughter, Christy Yochelson, of Cary, NC, two sisters, Laura
Lassiter, of Elba, Alabama, and Brenda Watson, of Spruce Pine, NC,
one brother, Joe Owens, also of Spruce Pine, NC, one granddaughter,
Alyssa Yochelson.
She was preceded in death by; mother, Dorothy Owens, and brother,
Delmar Owens.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 31st at 7:00PM in
Berry Chapel Baptist Church, with Reverends Stuart White and Greg
Hollifield officiating. The family will receive friends two hours
prior to the service. Interment will be Saturday, September 1st at
11:00AM at Will Young Cemetery.
