Dorothy Ollis Buchanan, age 60 of Richmond Road Bakersville, NC
passed away April 18, 2008 at her home. She was a native of Mitchell
County, NC and the daughter of the late Ernest and Cora Pitman Ollis.
She was a member of Cane Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include; sons, David Lee Ledford, and Michael Allen
Buchanan, both of Bakersville, NC, three stepsons, Theo Clarence
Buchanan Jr, of Charlotte, NC, Roy Michael Buchanan, of North Cove,
NC, and Randy Allen Buchanan, also of North Cove, NC, four brothers,
Robert Ollis, of Spruce Pine, NC, Leeroy Ollis, and James Ollis, both
of Bakersville, NC, and Sam Ollis, of Hudson, NC, grandchildren,
Katrina, Sabrina, and Samantha Ledford, Travis, Patrick, Chad,
Nicole, and Shawn Buchanan.
She was preceded in death by; husbands, Dave Ledford, and Theo
Clarence Buchanan Sr, and brothers, Edd, Willie, Ted, Earl, and Karl
Ollis.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 20th at 8:00PM in the
chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home Rev Kent Murphy and Rev
Marvin Hensley officiating. The family will receive friends two
hours prior to the service. Interment will be Monday, April 21 at
11:00AM at Cane Creek Cemetery #1.
