Albert (Huck) Buchanan, died in the presence of his daughters
March 17, 2008. He was born in MItchell County, North Carolina on
October 14, 1931. He was retired from the United States Air Force
and Martin Marietta. He was a member of McKinney Cove Baptist
Church. He is survived by his children, daughters,
Sabrina Sloat and her husband David and grandson, Spencer from Reno,
Nevada, daughter, Sabra Dea Buchanan and daughter, Ashzra Dea,
of Coronado, California, son, Kit Ira Buchanan, from Burlington,
Vermont, sister, Thelma Ayers, brothers George Buchanan and wife
Pauline, and Carlos Buchanan, all of Bakersville, NC, JC Buchanan,
of Mid West City, Oklahoma, and Arthur Buchanan, of Sultan,
Washington. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 22 at
8:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Don Ford
officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the
service. Interment will be Sunday, March 23 at 2:00PM at McKinney
Cove Cemetery with Don Stafford officiating and Graveside Military
Funeral Honors by The Shaw Air Force Base Honor Guard. Henline -
