BRASWELL
Carl Wayne Braswell, age 70 of Walnut Straight Rd, Spruce Pine,
NC passed away May 25, 2007. He was the son of the late Slight
Sylvester and Nisha Bartlett Braswell, and a Native of Mitchell
County, NC. He was retired from Unimin Corporation in the
Maintenance Department. He was a Veteran of The United States Army,
and a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church. He was also a member of
Mitchell County Citizens For Sound Economy.
Survivors include; wife, Barbara McKinney Braswell, three sons,
Gregory S. Braswell, of Winston Salem, NC, Danny W. Braswell, of
Spruce Pine, NC, and Carl Wade Braswell Jr., of Chesapeake, VA, one
daughter, Ora L. Dennis, of Burnsville, NC, two sisters, Betty
Bradshaw, of Canton, Ohio, and Ruth Swagger, of Palatka, Florida,
thirteen grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Funeral
services will be held Monday, May 28th at 4:00PM in the chapel of
Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Buster Yelton and Cameron Smith
officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the
service. Entombment will follow at Bear Creek Mausoleum.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of
choice. Henline - Hughes Funeral Home is assisting the Braswell
