BLACK
Samuel James Black, age 68, passed away May 4, 2010 at his
residence. He was a native of McDowell County, NC, and was the
son of the late Frank and Minnie Greene Black. He was retired
from Baxter Health Care Corporation and was employed part-time at
Wal-Mart. He was a member of White Oak Baptist Church.
Survivors include: wife, Tracy Eames Black, daughters,
Jennifer Lee Black and Elizabeth Carroll Black both of Bakersville,
NC, sons, Patrick Lyle Black of Marion, NC, Peter Allen Black of
Bakersville, NC, sister, Inez Stoffer of Sarasota, FL, brother,
Frank A. Black of Danville, VA, grandchildren, Alisa Marie Pock, Jorja Issbelle
Black, and Joshua Issiah Black.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 7, 2010 from 6:00PM-8:00PM in
the Chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville, NC.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 11:00AM in
the White Oak Baptist Church. Don Ford and Don Stafford will
be officiating the service. The body will lie in state one
hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the
Bakersville Memorial Cemetery.
