Richard Samuel Benge, 79 of Highway 226 North,
Bakersville,NC died Sunday,
April 8, 2007 at his residence. A native of
Carter County,Tennessee he was the son of the late Dan and Isabelle
Henson Benge. He is preceded in death by five sisters, Ellen Benge,
Pansy Hoss, Julia Garland, Daisy Benge and Georgia Fritz. One
brother, Edgar Benge. Survivors are his wife, June Ferguson Benge of
the home. One daughter, Barbara Benge Byrd of Bakersville,NC. Two
sons, Roger Benge of Bakersville and Lee Benge of Ingalls,NC. One
Sister, Thelma Barnett of West Jefferson,NC. Four grandchildren
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 11 at
1 pm at Beans Creek Freewill Baptist Church. The family will receive
friends from 7 to 9 Pm Tuesday April 10, at the church. Burial will
be in Butler Cemetery. Henline-Hughes is assisting the family.
