| DATELINE: BAKERSVILLE, NC LELA V. AYERS
Lela V. Ayers, age 82 of Manchester died Wednesday, March 7 at
Hanover General Hospital in Hanover, Pa. Born June 13, 1924, in
North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Green and Julie
McKinney Ledford. She was the wife of the late Cecil Ayers. She
was a Seamstress. She was a member of the North Carroll Senior
Citizens. Surviving are daughters Carolyn Ayers McComas of
Manchester, and Coleen Miller of Washington; sisters Beulah Sparks
of Bakersville, NC, Bernice Nelson, of Derwood, Ethel Ryder of
Essex, and Blanche Jackson, of Dundalk; brothers Doyle Ledford of
Essex and Dallas Ledford of Johnson City, TN; five Grandchildren;
and five great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held
Saturday, April 21 at 2:00PM in McKinney Cove Church with Don Ford
officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until the
service time.
