My Dear Libby,
Wish I could be there to comfort you in your time of loss of your Mother. She was the most wonderful Aunt Edie any neice could ever have. I loved her with all my heart and so thankful that she had such a long and fruitful life. I have a picture of her on my phone that was made on October 20th, 2011, one by herself and one with Johnny. If you would like copies let me know and I will get them to you. I love you Libby.
Your cousin,
George Ann Greene Lakes

We are heartbroken to learn of Edith's death, Lib. She was such a dear fine person, and we loved her. My brother and I referred to her as our "Biscuit Edith," because she made the best biscuits we ever tasted. That was a high compliment and made her smile when we told her.
Our hearts are with you.I can't breathe around funerals with all the chemicals and flowers, but, please know that we are there with you. Also, please let us know if there is anything we can do to support you and your family.
We send our love.

Libby, My heart aches for you. I know your Mom was your best friend as well as your mother. You were there for her and your dedication was so evident. I feel so blessed to have known Edith. She was the type person you wanted to be around, so upbeat and happy, yet she was so caring and always ready to help others. She was a "special" friend to my Mom and I'll never forget her and will miss her tremendously. But there's great consolation in knowing she is in a special place prepared for her by Christ and one day we'll be with her. Praying for you and I love you. Fran

Libby,
I am so sorry to hear about your mother. Ms. Edith was a wonderful and fun person to be around. She and my mother worked together in the school lunchroom, I have known known her for sometime. Edith had a smile and laugh that just stayed with you as you went separate ways. To those that knew her she will always be a part of us until we meet again.
Our prayers are with you.
Love,

Dearest Elizabeth,
I am one of your fellow classmates from the graduating class of 1966. I have only fond memories of your mother, Edith. She was always very pleasant and kind to me and my parents. She was always so eager to give me an little extra portion of some foods she knew that I really enjoyed eating! I loved that special attention too. My wonderful parents, Laura and Taft Ledford, had alot of respect and admiration for your her
My prayers and sympathy are with you and your family during this very sad time. May God comfort you and, always keep the wonderful memories of your Mother close to your heart.
Margie Ledford (in my senior year my last name was Gouge)

Libby, I just learned of your Mama's passing. Since I don't work at
the flower shop anymore, I can't keep up with the deaths.
Had she been sick lately?
I always enjoyed talking to her and I know you will miss her more
each day....
Sorry for you loss!
